1850: not found. Vital Records: Marriage record, John McFann to Sabina Malone, Scioto County Probate Court, Vol C, pg 211 (25 May 1851). A copy was found in John McFann's pension file. Marriage record, Thomas Hartley to Sabina McFann, Scioto County Probate Court (21 May, 1868). A copy of the certificate was found in John McFann's pension file. Military Pension Records: Pension records for John McFann, National Archives, SC 125145. Pictures: John McFann in his Civil War uniform, original photograph in the possession of Jeri Perez. Notes and Credits:1. Dates of birth for the children of John McFann are from his pension file. Dates of birth for John McFann and his wife are from the 1860 census. 2. Date of marriage for Emma McFann and Nicholas Pourchot was provided by Jeri Perez. 3. The information that John McFann's son, John Wesley McFann, married Alice Hartley came from Patricia Strickland. Alice Hartley was the daughter of Thomas Hartley, who married John McFann's widow, and was therefore John Wesley McFann's step-sister. Patricia is a descendant of Alice's sister Mary Elizabeth Hartley. 4. Descendants of John McFann include Jeri Perez and Norma Pourchot. |
